Well, now to the motorsport news.
During the final practice session of the Singapore Grand Prix, the brave lizard decided to show the leather ones that he could run no worse than their iron things on wheels, but the humans did not appreciate the reptile's ideas.
Spain's Fernando Alonso, driving the Aston Martin AMR24 Mercedes, passes a lizard on the track during the final practice session before the Formula 1 Grand Prix
The monitor lizard ran out onto the track at Turn 17 in the middle of the session. The reptile was spotted and race control stopped the session with a red flag.
The Singapore National Parks Board states on its website that monitor lizards are generally shy. But this little one stubbornly refused to leave the track, and the staff had to work hard before they managed to catch the offender and safely move him to a safer place.
After the speed runner was caught, the training continued.
The monitor lizards are diurnal, and all three times they were spotted on the track during the Singapore race weekend, they were seen shortly before sunset.

The drivers themselves joke that the tracks are sometimes attacked by "Godzilla babies" and are very worried when they accidentally die under the wheels.
