As if standing still: the world slopestyle champion rode a bicycle along a moving train (3 photos + 1 video)
The cyclist rides in the opposite direction and manages to perform tricks.
David Godzik surprised fans and athletes by riding a bike on a train that was moving in the opposite direction. The train had various platforms and obstacles. It felt like the cyclist himself was tumbling on the spot.
The track included 8 jumps, a roller and a descent from the stairs, which Godzik overcame on his specialized bike. Godzik said he had to fight the wind, the speed and the force of gravity.
"At first I practiced while the train was parked. Once I felt confident, we set the train in motion and gradually increased the speed. 23 kilometers per hour is the right speed to match my riding speed to create the feeling of riding in one position. This impression of a frozen background is very strange. Smoothly passing this track turned out to be much more difficult than it seemed," Godzik said.
