Hiding among toys: parents found a deadly snake in their child's bed (2 photos + 1 video)
Reptiles of this species, although dangerous, are quite timid and react only when they feel threatened.
Parents from Queensland (Australia) found a deadly snake in their daughter's crib. The reptile hid in the child's crib among blankets and soft toys. The family immediately called professional snake catchers to neutralize the uninvited guest, but not to expose themselves to danger.
As it turned out, the reptile got into the room through an unlocked front door. Experts have already managed to identify the species - it is a black echidna, which in Australia is usually called simply a black snake. Its bite can cause severe poisoning, even with a fatal outcome, but to date, not a single fatal case has been recorded.
The skin of a black snake is glossy with a bluish tint, the bottom and sides are colored in pink, red and raspberry-red shades. Representatives of the species grow from one and a half to two and a half meters in length. These reptiles, although dangerous, are quite timid and react only when they feel threatened.
"Recovered a very venomous black snake from a child's bed this morning. It was trying to blend in with the toys," professional snake hunters from Brisbane and the Gold Coast wrote on Facebook, sharing several photos of the rescue operation.
In the comments under the post, netizens thanked them for their work.
"Wow, such a calm specimen! Gets into the bag and everything. Thanks for the work," wrote one participant in the discussion. Another added: "Pretty dangerous snake! Luckily it didn't manage to bite the little girl."
