Police are looking for an American woman who teased a tiger (4 photos + 1 video)
A visitor to the Kohanzik Zoo in New Jersey climbed over a fence to tease a Bengal tiger. The woman stuck her hand through the metal fence and tried to attract the attention of the predator.
The footage shows the animal approaching the uninvited guest, and then swinging its paw. The woman barely managed to dodge. After that, the American woman hurried to hide.
The Bridgeton Police Department released the video on Tuesday, and the woman was wanted.
"Any behavior by visitors that creates a potential danger to animals, staff, or others is unacceptable and will be dealt with," said John Medica of the Bridgeton Public Affairs Department.
The 300-pound striped animal was born in 2016 in North Carolina, and was later transferred to the Kohansick Zoo. His brother lives in the enclosure with him.
The Bengal tiger is considered the second largest tiger after the Amur tiger.
