Five years ago, an 11-year-old boy became an internet sensation thanks to his exceptional talent - crochet. Today, Jonah Larson is 16 years old and his hobby-turned-business is still going strong.

Jonah was born in Ethiopia, but was adopted at six months old and now lives in La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA. At the age of five, the boy discovered knitting and became so fascinated that over the years he has made many sweaters, hats, blankets, and toys.

Here is a collection of his work that we hope will inspire you to never give up on your hobbies.

When asked how his love for knitting has changed over time, Jonah said, "My pieces have become more complex. It's not just a hobby anymore, it's an art form. I've reached a new level of skill and have developed my own style. I love creating unique designs and I've found my niche."

"For knitting to come back into fashion, we need to make things that the younger generation wants to wear. As an example, let's take the "Leif Shirt" that I made for my brother. Leif would never wear a knitted item. But my product suits his body type and his personality, and now thousands of people are asking for the pattern for this item."

Jonah turned his hobby into a successful business. He shared the challenges he faced: "I was lucky that my mother helped me with the business, and I learned a lot along the way. People used to want to have things knitted for free. No, I charge for my creativity, my time, my fame, my resources... you know what I mean... and it's not cheap. The same goes for social media. Companies should pay you for what you're worth."

"My most memorable moments have been meeting Drew Barrymore, Melissa McCarthy, Kelly Clarkson, and traveling around the world, like to Brazil to see how cotton is spun into yarn. But the best part has been helping my country, Ethiopia. Philanthropy means everything to me. I've opened a library for kids in my home country, a fully equipped science lab, bought 90 desks, built a girls' restroom, started a soccer team, and now I'm renovating the middle school I would go to if I still lived there," Larson said.
