Treasures found by people with a metal detector (16 photos)
Walking around with a metal detector in search of all sorts of cool trinkets is a pretty popular hobby. And it's also a useful thing if someone suddenly lost an earring, bracelet, keys or a ring. But the authors of these photos were incredibly lucky, because they found real treasures. Let's take a look.
10-karat gold ring
I found this ring in the garden of my new house. I managed to find the previous owner. The owner of the jewelry was delighted to see it again. It was a gift from her now deceased husband.
Barber Dime
This appears to be a faceted Barber dime from 1906. Quite a rare piece. The "guts" were probably cut out with a jeweler's saw.
Tie Clip
This thing is at least from the early 1920s or late 1880s.
I found a time capsule that is over 100 years old!
Find of the day - metal Squidward!
As they say, one man's trash is another man's treasure!
A truly amazing find!
This is a Celtic gold ring coin. It weighs about 11 grams and its year of creation can vary from 800 to 50 BC.
I had a great weekend!
I found two toy revolvers in the woods. The small one dates back to the 1950s, the other to the 1960s. I wonder if the same kid lost them in different years?
Dreams do come true!
This is a Viking sword guard found in a field in Norway. Just look at the intricate design!
My Strangest Find
That's Why I'm a Seeker!
14 carats, 20 diamonds! I may never top this find.
Victorian Cameo
Judging by the style and the time when cameos were in fashion, this is probably a decoration from the 1900-1910s.
A toy horse
A dainty bottle of perfume found on the beach
I found this within the confines of one of the local estates
A nice little silver but gilded brooch from the 13th-14th century with an intact pin
I think the stones are garnets. About 700 years old, found by me in Norfolk, UK.
While you are all digging up stupid coins… I am digging up tomato sauce in jars!
