A woman from Vietnam has not been able to sleep for 30 years (4 photos)
A 49-year-old Vietnamese woman claims that she hasn't slept for three decades in a row, she simply trained herself not to sleep. It's hard to believe, but the woman provides curious people with evidence.
She looks pretty dried out, but maybe all Vietnamese women are like that at 50?
How to just not sleep
Nguyen Ngoc My Kim now works as a seamstress. She says that since her youth she has hardly slept because she loved to read and read at night until she went to school. And when she became a seamstress, she had to work at night to deliver orders on time.
And she became convinced that her body could function without sleep, because she did not want to sleep at all, no matter how long she was awake.
Behind the mannequins are dresses that she sewed on sleepless nights
- At first, due to lack of sleep, I made a lot of mistakes in sewing, I was constantly falling off my feet. However, month after month, I trained my body, my eyes to the lack of sleep. Since then, I could not sleep, even if I wanted to, - said Nguyen Ngoc My.
Doctors have not given her any verdict, but her colleagues and friends say that they often see her around the clock at a sewing machine or in the shop. That is, she physically does not have time to go somewhere and sleep.
The door to the shop is always open, which means she is on duty there. People can come in at any time and see how the "sleepless seamstress" works in the middle of the night. She has even become a local landmark in Long Can, Vietnam.
Here is a woman from Vietnam who has not slept for 10 years, according to her
The woman did not brag to the media herself, rumors about her were spread by neighbors and clients who began to notice that she was always in place and never slept.
It is curious that it is in Vietnam that rumors and individuals most often appear who claim to have completely given up sleep. Over the past few years, three people have said that they have been sleeping for 10 years.
And there is one grandfather, 80-year-old farmer Thai Ngoc, who says that he has not slept at all for 60 years.
Here is this guy who has not slept for 60 years. But he looks pretty good!
This may be a collective myth. But really, when does this woman sleep if she works 24 hours? What if it is the Vietnamese who have a rare anxiety gene that makes the body refuse to stay awake? It would be interesting to discover it and breed more "sleepless people".
Do you believe that this is possible?
