“Incredible luck”: a man found a bag of rare treasures in the ground (2 photos + 1 video)

A collection of amazing artefacts found using a metal detector is valued at thousands of pounds by experts.





British treasure hunters using a metal detector found a bag of rare coins. One of them spoke about fantastic artifacts on his TikTok page called CoinCollectingWizard.

"I found a bag of coins. Here is one of the rarest finds - a Half Crown from 1905, there are only 166,008 of them in the world. Depending on the condition, it can fetch from 450 to 10,000 pounds sterling. Just incredible luck!" — the author of the video told his subscribers.

The next item he showed was the 1853 4p coin, which had a modest mintage of just 11,080 coins. Experts say it could sell for between £230 and £2,000. One shilling from 1851 was also found in the collection. Collectors are willing to pay from 100 to 2000 pounds sterling for it.



The treasure hunters' video quickly racked up hundreds of likes and dozens of comments since it was posted.

“I have so many coins found with a metal detector that it’s time to do an audit. A wonderful hobby, my friend,” one of the network users wrote in the comments.

“The first coin you mentioned is selling for £4.50 and £200 on eBay,” another commenter noted.

The author of the video explained that prices for coins can vary greatly depending on their condition.
