Single mother visited 17 countries during maternity leave (5 photos)
Sarah Noack, a 26-year-old resident of Frankfurt, Germany, just returned from maternity leave. The flight attendant and her little daughter visited 17 countries in two and a half years.
Sarah said her company allows mothers to continue paid maternity leave while breastfeeding, which means about two more years.
"The airline I worked for didn't allow flight attendants to work while pregnant, so I got my full salary but didn't work. I've been on maternity leave since the birth of my daughter. We have a breastfeeding policy where you get all salary while breastfeeding,” shared the German woman.
“I wanted to live an adventurous life and have a baby.”
The trip to Barcelona, Spain took place when Luana was only 2 weeks old.
The baby took her first steps on a Bali beach and spoke in Indonesia, which her mother said was an unforgettable experience.
Traveling with a new baby may seem challenging, but Sarah says it's easier than living a normal life in Germany.
“It used to be easier, but now that she’s gotten older and started running, it’s getting harder.”
Mom and daughter visited 17 countries: they spent a month in Thailand, two months in Portugal and three weeks in Cambodia.
Sarah liked Nepal most: “The country amazed me. It is beautiful and so different from all the others.”
Now the woman works as a freelance social media manager and hosts a podcast about her adventures.
