Homeowners from Southern California (USA) found a hidden camera in their yard. The device was wrapped in camouflage tape and hidden among the bushes.
Police representatives who responded to the call warned homeowners of the need to check all their property, as the number of robberies increases during the summer holidays - criminals use spy technology to track who is at home.
“The device consists of a battery, a power cord and a camera with a memory card. These items were seized as evidence and transferred to special storage. We ask anyone who finds suspicious things on their property to immediately notify law enforcement agencies,” said Raquel Zik, an employee public affairs department of the local sheriff's office. 
By the way, a similar camera was found in the bushes near another house on Primrose Avenue last Monday, June 17, after an unsuccessful robbery attempt.
“The victim’s neighbor found a hidden camera in the bushes aimed at the house. On the same day, the security company reported that unknown persons tried to open the kitchen window. Unfortunately, this is a typical tactic in burglaries,” the law enforcement statement said. 
According to them, thieves usually send the stolen items abroad or sell them. Cops are asking citizens to be vigilant: write down the license plates of suspicious vehicles, turn on bright lights on the street near their home, and regularly trim and check green spaces.
"Remember that it is important to constantly check the house to identify any changes in the landscape. Also watch out for suspicious people knocking on the door. They may be checking to see if someone is home," police warn.
