A raccoon ran onto the field during a North American MLS soccer match between Philadelphia Union and New York City FC. Catching the animal turned out to be not so easy.
A raccoon ran onto the field during the match and caused a real commotion.
Fluffy decided to join the Philadelphia Union and New York City FC of the North American Major League Soccer (MLS). The animal happily ran around while stadium staff tried to catch it using garbage cans.
The match was interrupted for five minutes, and the tailed one spent a record 160 seconds on the field for its representatives. At this time the spectators chanted: “Raccoon, raccoon!”
The animal was caught and handed over “to good hands” to a specialized organization, which released it. MLS named the fluffy Raquinho (from the English racoon).
