A cat accidentally ended up in an Amazon box. She flew 1050 km and returned only a week later (4 photos + 1 video)
A cat named Galena was hiding in a box of shoes when her owner was processing the return of those same shoes. 
A Utah cat returned to her family after traveling to California in an Amazon box. Galena's owners, Carrie and Matt Clark, said that their furry pet, like many other cats, loves to hide in boxes.
“She loves to play in boxes; it’s just part of her character,” Carrie told a local news site in a video interview. The curious cat's funny habit led to a scary situation where Galena's owners couldn't find their pet anywhere. 
Unbeknownst to the owners, Galena literally flew out of the house in a large box of shoes that Matt sent as a return to Amazon. The cat was hiding in a box, which, among other things, contained a pair of shoes. There were quite a lot of things, so neither the courier nor the owner noticed the “impressive weight” of the cargo. 
After Carrie and Matt noticed their pet was missing, they thoroughly searched their home and posted missing notices throughout their community, completely unaware that their cat's favorite game of hide and seek had gone awry.
A week after Matt and Carrie learned that their beloved pet was missing, they received a call with a truly shocking surprise - Galena's microchip had been scanned in Riverside, California, 1,050 km from her hometown. 
An Amazon distribution employee named Brandi discovered the cat in a shoe package. She cared for Galena until the cat was reunited with her family.
As soon as Carrie and Matt heard the crazy news that Galena had been found in a box at an Amazon warehouse, the owners booked plane tickets to California.
