Three decks, folding sails, angled masts and a helipad with a garage - what does the eccentric American yacht designer offer for a hefty sum?

One of the most talented and far-sighted yacht designers, American Steve Kozloff, creates interesting designs of expensive and comfortable boats of the Goliath series, which are able to overcome enormous distances and sail the oceans. This time the author presented the incredibly expensive yacht “Trident”. So far this is just a concept, but what awaits those who can invest in such an interesting creation?

Three buildings

The image of a ship with three hulls reminded Steve of the Greek god Poseidon and his legendary weapon, the trident. This is where the name of the yacht, or trimaran, as it is called by experts in ship vocabulary, comes from.

Hard sails

They are made of flexible, durable plastic and can not only fold, but also rotate in different directions. This way the sails can catch the wind and the ship can sail faster.

Inclined masts

The height of the masts is quite impressive: 72 meters, but in order to pass under most bridges, they can tilt, and then their height drops to 42 meters.

Six decks

In addition to the relaxation areas, there are numerous cabins: the largest for the owner of the yacht is located at the bow of the main hull, a couple of VIP cabins in the tail and on smaller hulls, as well as regular cabins on the outriggers. In addition to the owner, the Trident can accommodate 12 guests and 20 crew members.

Windows with panoramic views

It is noteworthy that all guest cabins not only have modern comfortable furnishings, but also huge portholes offering beautiful views.

Speed - 17 knots

If you sail only with the help of sails, then the yacht moves at a speed of 22 km/h, but if you add power using the engine, the speed will increase to 31 km/h, or, as sailors say, up to 17 knots.

2 helipads

Thinking that the owner and guests of such a luxurious yacht might need to go ashore at any moment, Kozloff added a couple of helipads - this way, reaching the shore is much faster than entering the port.

6 lifeboats

Without them, no commission will approve the project. But in order not to spoil the view, Steve equipped the Trident with hidden lifeboats that can inflate themselves in case of danger.

2 swimming pools

It’s a paradox, but when swimming in the sea, it is not always possible to be directly in the sea: cool weather, sharks and great depths do not always allow a person to swim. Therefore, a couple of swimming pools would be the ideal solution.

Diesel-electric system

And of course, men are more interested in what's inside, not what's outside. The Trident is equipped with a hybrid engine that can run on both diesel fuel and electricity. This interchangeability keeps the yacht running even if one part of the system fails.
