Is it true that service dogs stand in lines for food? And even with your own dishes! (4 photos)

Well, what a beauty! Smooth, beautiful, each with his own bowl. People can’t always do that, but dogs don’t mind, they just stand and wait. Is discipline really that strict in all canine service centers?

Anyone who climbs out of turn will get a ladle on the forehead!

Strict discipline - yes, of course. People's lives literally depend on the quality of service dog training. Even civilian dog handlers are forced to put their whole soul into their pets in order to raise balanced and obedient helpers from busy kids. And raising a service dog means several months of hard work for both the dog, the dog handler, and the owner. And still, about half of the dogs do not complete the course. They go to civilian life long before their official retirement.

Wow, are your people trained too?

But dogs usually don’t stand in queues. Outside of training, animals live in large, often even two-room enclosures with food, water and a soft place to sleep. It seems that the only place where the animals themselves come to dinner with their own dishes is the Canine Service Academy in Zhejiang Province. Local experts believe that tedious waiting in line is a great way to instill patience in dogs and teach them not to go crazy at the sight of treats. I don’t know how effective this is, but the workers definitely like it: the dogs themselves come to the feeding place, and even with their own dishes!

When you go camping, don’t forget to take the most important things.

Is it difficult to train dogs to do this trick? Definitely. But not impossible. If you know how to reward your pet and have the right amount of time and patience, then your dog can learn to sit still while waiting for dinner. After all, to develop such behavior in an animal you do not need to have secret knowledge. For example, in the photo below you also see a calm dog line. Only the photo was taken on the Russian-Finnish border, in the 1940s!

It used to be better! Even the dogs were more obedient!
