The 42-year-old Princess of Wales became the second person in the royal family to openly admit to having the disease. The first was King Charles III with his prostate. 
After the princess disappeared from the radar of the press at the end of last year, the local public became worried; rumors spread online that Kate was sent to the next world by her hubby due to a difficult period in the relationship. The royal family itself added fuel to the fire after publishing a photoshopped photo of the princess surrounded by children. The photograph was confiscated and an apology was made, but the people became even more worried.
This Friday, Kate decided to personally tell what was happening to her and where she had gone. She underwent major abdominal surgery in London in January. After all the tests were carried out after the operation, it became clear that the princess had cancer. The type of cancer is not disclosed to the general public. She is currently undergoing preventative chemotherapy.
As the princess herself noted, it took her time to recover from a serious operation and begin treatment.
"At this time, I also think about all those whose lives have been impacted by cancer. I ask everyone facing this disease, in whatever form it may manifest, not to lose faith and hope," she concluded.
A Kensington Palace spokesman said: "We will no longer be sharing any private medical information. The Princess has the right to medical privacy, as do we all."
News of Princess Kate's diagnosis comes just weeks after her father-in-law King Charles announced on February 5 that he was undergoing treatment for cancer.
"During the King's recent hospital procedure for a benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests revealed a form of cancer," the palace said in a statement.
