While the Chinese are in full swing preparing for mass sales of air cars, in India they decided that they, too, were not done with a finger and announced their developments in the field of electric aircraft.





Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-Madras) Aerospace Engineering and Professor Emeritus Satya Chakravarthy proudly announced that India's first airborne vehicle, the e200, will be tested this fall.

“We had to make it very compact so that it could land in confined spaces and fly in the country's congested airspace. We want to cover short distances several times before charging the battery,” said Satya Chakravarty.



The E50 prototype has already been successfully tested. But the first flight of the E200 is scheduled for October-November this year. And if everything goes according to plan, this could become a historic moment in the Indian aircraft industry. The E200 will be able to carry 2 people over a distance of 200 km without additional charging.

Now Indian engineers are working to ensure the safety of passengers. EPlane uses a multifaceted security strategy to mitigate potential risks.



ePlane was founded in 2017 and officially launched in 2019 with the goal of creating the e200, the world's smallest flying taxi that can carry both passengers and cargo. The company hopes that their service will lead to a reduction in the number of traffic accidents and help cope with traffic congestion.
