Defense forces shot down a Russian A-50 aircraft over the Sea of Azov

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to sources in the Defense Forces.
The publication's sources report that this was a joint operation of the Air Force and the Main Intelligence Directorate. The level of damage is being determined.
“The chances of saving the aircraft are minimal,” the sources said.
It is worth recalling that Russia had only 9 such aircraft, but not all of them were combat-ready. The A-50 is a long-range radar detection and control aircraft capable of reconnaissance and targeting for strikes.
Later, Air Force Commander Nikolai Oleshchuk noted in his telegram channel: “Bayan”, TI where”? "Thank you to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense and everyone who ensured the result!"
