According to the preliminary version, the car tried to pass the railway crossing at a prohibitory signal. 
In Sterlitamak, a train demolished an ambulance, turning it into a pile of metal. The patient with pneumonia, who was in the car at the time of the accident, could not be saved. The 67-year-old woman died before paramedics arrived.
There were four people in the ambulance in total. The paramedic and driver were seriously injured; doctors from the first clinical hospital are now fighting for their lives.
It is noted that the ambulance driver was in a hurry and, apparently, hoped to get in front of the train, despite the prohibitory red light. The driver of the shunting diesel locomotive managed to apply emergency braking, but this did not help. Traffic in the Sterlibashevsky tract area is currently limited.
