In April, sales of new Mercedes-Benz CLE convertibles will start in Europe at prices starting from 66.4 thousand euros. This is a new class, replacing the previous two-door cars of the C and E series. The car is suitable for year-round use, for which it has “winter” options. Formally, it was declassified in the summer of 2023, along with the coupe of the same name. However, the manufacturer only gave details now. 
A multi-layer awning ensures a comfortable temperature in the cabin, under which it will not be cold even in winter. It changes position electrically in 20 seconds. This can be done at speeds up to 60 km/h. There are three roof colors to choose from: black, gray or red.
The Aircap system consists of a retractable spoiler above the windshield and a lift-up screen behind the second-row seats. They reduce air turbulence in the cabin. And the Airscarf function is the supply of warm air through the backs of the seats to the neck and shoulders of the driver and right passenger.
Mercedes-Benz CLE is built on the basis of the previous generation C-Class. At the same time, the dimensions have increased noticeably and reached 4850x1861x1424 millimeters with a wheelbase of 2865 millimeters. The trunk holds 385 liters with the roof up and 295 liters with the roof down.
The 11.9-inch diagonal media system screen can change its angle at the driver’s command. Range - from 15 to 40 degrees. This makes it possible to minimize glare on the display when driving with the top open. The leather seat trim is coated with a compound that prevents excessive heating. Four of the 17 speakers of the optional Burmester audio system are located in the front headrests.
At the start of sales, four versions will be offered. With diesel - only CLE 200 d with 197 horsepower. The petrol “turbo-four” 2.0 is available on the CLE 200 (204 hp) and CLE 300 (258 hp) modifications. Plus the top-end variant CLE 450 with 381 hp. with “six” 3.0. All-wheel drive is offered at extra cost for the petrol 200 and is installed by default on the two most powerful convertibles. Everywhere there is a 9-speed automatic transmission and a starter-generator, which adds 23 hp at start-up.
