A passenger was almost kicked off a flight for not wearing a bra (9 photos)

Lisa Archbold claims they wanted to kick her off a Delta Airlines plane after pointing out her revealing outfit. The incident occurred on January 22 on a flight from Salt Lake City to San Francisco.





According to the New Zealand native, the airline employee greeted her “very strangely”, but she did not think anything of it until she boarded the plane a few minutes later.

As she took her seat, Delta representatives approached her.

“I thought someone had died or they had found something strange in my bag,” says the traveler. “The woman said loudly: “I need to talk to you alone. Follow me".



The day before, she visited the Sundance Film Festival, where she was promoting the alcohol brand of one of the actors, and her bag was stuffed with bottles of vodka.

However, Lisa soon realized that the problem was not her luggage, but that she was not wearing a bra.







According to Delta airline rules, persons wearing revealing clothing are not allowed on flights.

“I’ll let you stay on the plane if you wear a jacket,” Archbold heard.

The former judo champion covered herself.

"I was dressed like a boy: baggy pants and a T-shirt. I had no idea what she was talking about," Lisa said, sharing a photo of her casual outfit.



The woman lives in New York and travels often for work. In four years in the United States, she had never encountered anything like this.



Delta does not have an official dress code for travelers. However, the airline reserves the right to remove a passenger from a plane if "his behavior, clothing, hygiene or smell annoys other passengers."



The passenger claims that she was the target of attacks and was treated unfairly: “Many of the men on that flight had bigger breasts than mine, but they weren’t wearing bras.”



Archbold believes the airline employee used Delta's policies to humiliate and insult her. She has filed a formal complaint and is awaiting a response.
