A selection of comedies that, instead of audience laughter, received “Spanish shame” and the Golden Raspberry" (12 photos)

All people are, of course, different. Everyone has their own preferences, tastes and opinions on any subject (which are the ultimate truth, of course). And a particularly controversial topic is the sense of humor. Like, what is truly funny? This question is much harder than it seems. After all, the comedy genre and the ability to make people laugh is incredibly difficult work. This selection contains comedies that people had high hopes for. But, alas, instead of laughter, the audience received “Spanish shame” and the Golden Raspberry for “Worst Film of the Year.”

But first, we will traditionally ask you to take a deep breath and exhale. Don't swear if there's a movie here that you like.

For some, the pinnacle of comedy is British absurdist humor in the spirit of Monty Python. Others will choose the parody comedy "The Naked Gun" or "Hot Shots", in which a stream of jokes hits the viewer like a machine gun. There are those who like youth comedies like "American Pie." And give someone the most trashy humor ala "Movie 43".

In general, everyone has their own comedy. However, whatever one may say, there are generally accepted boundaries that allow us to separate, for example, a good black comedy from... very weak humor, where a joke is no different from a direct insult. Or when a stream of “jokes for the sake of jokes” strains to squeeze out laughter.

Better tell us which comedies you would add to your personal TOP 5 of the best and worst comedies. Be sure to tell us about them in the comments.

Movie 43 (2013)

In addition to the title of “worst film,” it has 2 anti-awards: for the worst script and the worst director (there were already 10 of them in the film - according to the number of sketches that made up the project).

Can't Stop the Music (1980)

In addition to the title of “worst film,” it also has one more anti-award for worst screenplay.

The Adventures of Ford Fairlane (1990)

In addition to the title of “worst film,” it has 2 anti-awards: for worst screenplay and worst actor (Andrew Dice Clay).

Sex Guru (2008)

In addition to the title of “worst film,” it has 2 anti-awards: worst actor (Mike Myers) and worst screenplay.

Hudson Hawk (1991)

In addition to the title of “worst film,” it has 2 anti-awards: for worst director and worst screenplay.

ANXIETY! This is the very moment when the opinions of viewers from different continents were divided. The film failed miserably in the West. However, for our viewer this is one of the favorite films of the 90s. On Kinopoisk the film has a rating of 7.1. Although perhaps... a strong sense of nostalgia and love for Bruce... makes us overlook the weak script and quality of humor.

Holmes & Watson (2018)

In addition to the title of “worst film,” it has 3 anti-awards: for worst supporting actor (John C. Reilly), worst director and worst remake.

Ghosts Don't Do That (1989)

In addition to the title of “worst film,” it has 3 anti-awards: worst actor (Bo Derek), worst director and worst supporting actor (Donald Trump).

Dirty Love (2005)

In addition to the title of “worst film,” it has 3 anti-awards: worst actress and worst screenplay (Jenny McCarthy both acted and wrote), as well as worst director.

Howard the Duck (1986)

In addition to the title of “worst film,” it has 3 anti-awards: worst screenplay, worst visual effects and worst new star. The latter was received not by any actor, but by the fictional character Howard the Duck.

Tim Robbins also received a nomination for Worst Supporting Actor. It was probably for this film that he was sent to Shawshank.

Fuck you, Freddie! (2001)

In addition to the title of “worst film,” it has 4 anti-awards: worst actor and worst director (both positions were held by Tom Green), worst screenplay and worst screen couple (“Tom Green and any animal”).

Gigli (2003)

In addition to the title of “worst film,” it has 5 anti-awards: worst actress (Jennifer Lopez), worst actor (Ben Affleck), worst screenplay, worst director and worst screen couple (Lopez and Affleck).

By the way, it was on the set of this film that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck first met.

Such different twins (2011)

In addition to the title of “worst film,” it has 9 anti-awards (this is a record): worst actress and actor (both played by Adam Sandler), worst supporting actor (Al Pacino) and a similar female role (David Spade, as it happens), as well as Worst Director, Screenplay, On-Screen Couple, Ensemble Actor and Remake.
