The punishment for driving a red light needs to be toughened

In Vologda on February 1, on Sovetsky Prospekt, a 19-year-old driver of a Hyundai Accent ignored a prohibitory traffic light signal, as a result of which he collided with a Volkswagen Passat. The impact threw the Hyundai straight onto a woman walking along the sidewalk. A 20-year-old Hyundai passenger was also injured in the accident. Both victims were taken to the hospital, according to the city department of the State Traffic Inspectorate.
