Double overtaking across a continuous road with a fatal outcome in Russia

“According to preliminary data, on January 26, 2024, at 30 km along the Kaliningrad-Baltiysk highway, a Volkswagen car was moving, driven by a driver born in 1976, who was moving in the direction of Baltiysk and, while overtaking, lost control and collided with a roadside tree on the left in the direction of travel. As a result of the accident, the driver died before the ambulance arrived," the regional State Traffic Inspectorate reported.
