A woman noticed strange brown sticks on the ceiling (5 photos)
A woman was renting an apartment and discovered mysterious brown “sticks” hanging down on the ceiling. She decided to seek help on social networks - and was shocked by what it really was. It turned out that insects were involved.
A resident of a rented apartment noticed strange brown sticks on the ceiling, and experts from the Internet told her what was wrong. One user suggested that there were termites living on the roof and it needed to be checked as soon as possible - and plenty of others agreed. It turns out that these sticks are made up of dirt, feces, wood pulp and saliva, and can be found both inside and outside the house. Termites "build" them as tunnel-like structures from their nest.
This is a sign that termites have already literally “taken over” the roof. Other signs of a termite infestation in your home may include dirt marks on the sides of the house, blisters in the paint, holes in the wood, or wet areas on the walls or wood floors. Most often they use wooden stairs, door frames and furniture as homes. The presence of termites is also indicated by the characteristic sounds they make when they chew on wood.
To get rid of termite infestation, you should contact a professional. After this, the house must be inspected for termites every year.
