A turning point due to a fool: a drunken stowaway in Russia knocked a woman off her feet
In Moscow, at the Krasnye Vorota metro station, a guy broke the turnstile doors and, falling, injured one of the passengers.
“In the morning at the Krasnye Vorota metro station on the Sokolnichesky line, a 21-year-old resident of the capital, while intoxicated, ran through the turnstile behind the woman in front in order to enter the station without paying the fare, breaking the turnstile doors in the process. He then fell and hit a passenger, causing the woman to suffer a broken bone. The young man was detained by the police patrol service of the Internal Affairs Directorate on the Moscow Metro immediately at the scene of the incident and taken to the police department.”
A criminal case was initiated against the detainee under Part 1 of Art. 214 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Vandalism”) and a measure of procedural coercion was chosen in the form of an obligation to appear. The young man was also brought to administrative responsibility under Art. 20.21 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (“Appearing in public places while intoxicated”).
Police are conducting an additional investigation into the fact that a subway passenger was injured.
