The Shakhtinsky polyester plant is on fire in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation.
Eyewitnesses said the sound of an explosion was heard before the fire.
According to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire occurred in a workshop for the production of fillings for mattresses and pillows. There is no information about casualties. The enterprise was built and began operating in 2023.
