Luxurious 1964 Lincoln Continental restmod will be put up for sale (10 photos)
A 1964 Lincoln Continental convertible will be auctioned at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale in late January. The car has retained its vintage appearance, but at the same time is completely modern - from the interior trim to the power unit, which uses a compressor V8 from Ford.
A five-liter Ford Coyote engine with a supercharger was placed under the hood of the convertible. The output of the motor is not named, but, as a rule, such a combination produces about 700 forces. In addition, the engine was accompanied by custom manifolds, an aluminum radiator and a number of other specially prepared attachments, including a Borla exhaust system. The engine is powered by a six-speed automatic transmission of the same origin.
The standard suspension was replaced with a multi-link with adjustable coilovers. A modern rack and pinion steering mechanism and power disc brakes are installed. The Lincoln Continental rests on the road with 20-inch wheels - modern, but with a retro design.
The interior features new leather-trimmed seats, Dakota Digital instrumentation, and air conditioning designed specifically for such projects. In addition, the convertible is equipped with a powerful audio system with Bluetooth protocol using Retrosound, Focal and JL Audio components and door closers.
