China launched the most powerful solid-fuel rocket (2 photos + 1 video)
Today, the Chinese private launch vehicle Gravity-1 was launched from an offshore platform.
There is little information, but from what is known:
- the Gravity-1 rocket of the private company OrienSpace is completely solid propellant
- according to rumors, 17 satellites were put into orbit
- the launch took place from an offshore platform (essentially from a ship), which is technically very difficult
- a rocket 42 meters high, 3.35 meters in diameter, launches up to 6.5 tons of cargo into low orbit
In essence, this is a test launch that will show the prospects of launching solid fuel missiles from the sea.
