Lost Rose was found 6 years later thanks to people and badgers (6 photos)
Of course, the latter played an indirect role in the case, but they still played it.
On holiday days, you especially want to believe in miracles. And such a miracle, reported by Surrey Live, happened in Britain. Late last month, volunteers spotted a dog in the village of Crawley Down in West Sussex. She was clearly homeless, but did not look emaciated, since the locals took care of the animal as best they could. And the dog maintained his strength with the help of food that the villagers left in the forest for the badgers.

Volunteers decided to arrange the dog’s fate and lured it into a trap with meat to examine it, take it to a veterinarian and place it in good hands.

When the wanderer was caught, he was carefully examined and a microchip was found, from which data about the stray animal’s past was restored. It turned out that the dog, named Rose, is approximately 12 years old. And she spent half her life wandering for the reason that she ran away from her owners.
This happened back in 2017. Rose had just been adopted into a new family. But the active and freedom-loving Patterdale Terrier did not stay with its new owners for even a day and ran away into the forest. The search was unsuccessful. And people joined the list of those who lost a dog.
But she managed to live independently. True, not without the help of kind people and the food that the villagers fed the badgers. The old owners were very happy about the news, but for personal reasons they could not take Rose.
Now the wanderer temporarily lives at the animal rescue service in Edenbridge and is waiting for new owners who want to shelter the freedom-loving pet.
