At a New Year's fair in Belgium, a 20-meter tree collapsed on people

In the central square of the Belgian city of Oudenaarde, a 20-meter Christmas tree fell as a result of strong winds. There were people under the tree, one of the victims died.

“Three people who were trapped under the fallen tree were taken to hospital. One of the victims, unfortunately, died,” the mayor said.

After the incident, city authorities decided to close the Christmas market. Law enforcement officers joined the investigation into the incident.
