Not all people like change. Especially when it comes to their favorite movie franchises. Therefore, every new sequel is a risk of running into the righteous anger of fans. Especially when important characters are changed. And if a substitution is made without any explanation and another actor simply steps into the place of another, it is almost an unforgivable sin. But in the sequels from our selection, the scriptwriters tried to justify the replacement in the plot. For example, in Independence Day: Resurgence, Will Smith's character is replaced by his "son". They decided to use approximately the same technique in the sequels to Pirates of the Caribbean.

Michaela Banes (Megan Fox) from Transformers





She was replaced by Carly Spencer (Rosie Huntington-Whiteley), who became the main female character in the third part, Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon (2011).

By the way, this is one of only two roles for supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in films. The second is in Mad Max 2015.
