10 bunkers and structures in case of an apocalypse (11 photos)

It is unknown when this notorious end of the world will come, but some people - and especially billionaires - are already ready for it. Let's look at ten bunkers and structures from around the world that are designed to survive the apocalypse or other disasters. Some of them have already been purchased, while others have not yet been purchased.

1. Bunker "Oppidum" in the Czech Republic

The first bunker for the rich is the 30,000 square meter Oppidum, which is located in the mountains of the Czech Republic. It has an underground garden, spa, swimming pool, cinema, library and other entertainment. The living area of the mansion itself is 7,200 square meters. You can enter the complex only through an underground tunnel, which is located behind an explosion-proof door. There is 24-hour armed security on the territory.

2. Trident Lakes, Texas, USA

This estate is for those who prefer to play golf during the apocalypse. The town of Trident Lakes is located in the American city of Ector in Texas. This is an entire underground village, including a hotel, golf and polo fields, as well as 600 places for condominiums under construction. There are also underground bunkers, armed guards and even a DNA storage facility if visitors suddenly want to preserve “a piece of themselves.”

3. Europa One bunker in Germany

Europa One is considered the largest and safest underground bunker in the world, as well as one of the most luxurious. It was made on the basis of a Soviet military bunker in Rothenstein, Germany. The shelter can withstand nuclear explosions, biological and chemical attacks, earthquakes - and even survive if a plane falls on it from the sky. The cost of one apartment in the bunker is $5 million.

4. Bunker The Survival Condo, Kansas, USA

This bunker is built in the shell of an old Atlas missile silo from the 60's. It is located in the center of Kansas, USA, and is surrounded by green lawns from the outside and looks rather inconspicuous. Behind the 8-ton steel doors and below is an entire residential complex. Upstairs there are community rooms, a pet park, arcade games, a swimming pool and a climbing wall. Next are medical and technical rooms, and below are living quarters. At the very bottom there is a cinema and a bar.

5. Underground house in Las Vegas

This 1394 square meter bunker house is located in Las Vegas, USA. There is adjustable lighting, a ceiling with twinkling stars, a dance floor (this is Vegas, after all!), two Jacuzzis, a sauna, a bar and even a barbecue area. The house has even appeared in Netflix films. You can buy it for just 18 million dollars - and calmly while away the end of the world in it.

6. Bunker on Shrubland Road in the UK

Previously, on the site of this bunker in the town of Mistley, Essex, UK, there was a nuclear bunker in case of an explosion. The 929 square meter space was recently completely remodeled. It was converted into three luxury apartments and was soon sold to interested parties. They don't have any luxury amenities like a golf course or sauna, but each apartment is equipped with a modern kitchen and Italian marble bathrooms.

7. "Safe House", Poland

The industrial-style house "The Safe House", built in Warsaw (Poland), will not withstand a nuclear explosion, but it will be safe during the zombie apocalypse. According to chief architect Robert Koniecny, this is the world's first zombie-proof house. The house has sliding external walls, aluminum gates and a sliding bridge leading to the roof terrace: all this is controlled from a special remote control.

8. Dogen City Concept

Dogen City is an idea of the Japanese company N-Ark, which has not yet been brought to life. This structure, designed to accommodate up to 40 thousand people, is a floating city, protected from the threat of rising levelsnya seas due to global warming. Residents will be able to go jogging around the large outer ring of the oasis, as well as undergo regular medical examinations on site. They plan to build Dogen City by 2030.

9. Colonization of space

Many people think that it would be nice to survive the apocalypse not just in a bunker, but far from Earth - in space. SpaceX and Blue Origin have long been fighting for the right to own the sky. Elon Musk has a plan to colonize Mars, and Jeff Bezos hopes to launch space flights for billionaires. In space there is no risk of a nuclear explosion, flood or zombie apocalypse. Initially, Elon Musk modestly estimated the cost of a ticket to Mars at 100-500 thousand dollars, however, the estimated price is much higher - millions or even billions of dollars.

10. Bunker "Aristocrat"

The American company Rising S Bunkers produces bunkers that are built to order and delivered to the location you need. Bunker prices range from $49,000 for a simple option to nearly $10 million (installation and delivery not included). "Aristocrat" is their most famous underground complex. It can accommodate 50 people and includes air filtration systems, freezers, a gym, saunas, swimming pools, a shooting range and bowling alley.
