A fuel tanker overturned and exploded in Bangkok

A fuel company employee lost control of the fuel truck and overturned it on its side, after which he fled the scene.
Eyewitnesses to the disaster, which occurred at noon on November 29, captured an explosion and a fireball rising upward.
Two people suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the capital's Charoenkrung Pracharak Hospital.
Firefighters who arrived at the scene localized the fire within a few hours.
Thailand has one of the worst road safety records in the world. The Transport Ministry has set a goal of reducing the death rate from 32.7 deaths per 100,000 people to 12 by 2027, but insufficient investment in infrastructure appears to be hampering those efforts.
