In the USA, a family bought an old house from the 1950s. There was a lot of work to be done inside, but my husband was ready to do everything with his own hands.

There was a lot of work ahead to turn the dining nook into something cool





The views of the wife and husband on the design differed slightly, something similar was conceived



Making repairs yourself is a great opportunity to change and add something even during the construction process





First, the base appeared, which rises 7 cm above the floor, then the seats



The handy husband specially left a place at the bottom so that crumbs or pests that might infest the pedestal could be removed.

They placed a table in the middle so that everyone could fit in (but in the end there wasn’t much space)



Final option: according to the plan, the seats should also have covers + curtains on the windows to make it look more like a train carriage



This construction took the owners 4 months.
