In general, the topic of talented and brilliant children and teenagers is very complex. Only a few succeeded. And most of those who were brilliant at mathematics or wrote poetry grew up to be mediocre adults.

Or she didn’t grow up at all, like this promising boy. The boy learned to read at the age of one and a half years. At the age of three, he had already mastered the piano and the standard program for the first grade. After which he told his parents that he would not return to kindergarten - it was too boring. At age 11, Brandenn entered college. According to his parents, the boy was thinking about a career as an anesthesiologist and was an ordinary happy teenager who loved music, computer games, cartoons and books. Brandenn organically combined his interests in classical works, read Harry Potter and was not afraid to speak in public.

During the test IQ scored 178 points. For comparison: Einstein had 160 points.

There was no talk of any dark thoughts or deep depression. As Brandenne's mother said, they never tried to make the baby a home-grown genius, nor did they force him to learn to read and write too early. On the contrary, they tried to slow down the pace of life and study somewhat, so that the son would not miss the simple joys of adolescence.

The suicide of a 14-year-old boy in 2005 came as a complete surprise to everyone. He did not leave a suicide note and did not explain his decision in any way. In an interview with the Times newspaper, Patti, the mother of the young genius, said that her son made this decision to save someone’s life. Brandenn's organs were donated to other people. His kidneys were given to adults, his liver to a two-year-old baby, and his heart to an 11-year-old boy.

It is difficult to say who this young man from Nebraska really was - an indigo child or just a teenager who could not cope with the burden of responsibility and a high standard.

Perhaps the reason for this choice is hidden depression, tragic altruism or momentary weakness.

Why do you think the fate of most child geniuses is tragic?
