Why are children taught to write with both hands in India (6 photos)

Someone who can write equally well with both hands is called ambidextrous. It is believed that one must be born with such talent. But the director of an Indian school decided not to wait for favors from nature, but to make all his students ambidextrous.

It is believed that only 1% of the population is able to write “with both hands”. But in Madhya Pradesh there are schools where all 300 schoolchildren can do this! Because the director named VP Sharma forces them.

And in India, they very often go out to exercise in the yard in the sun. True, this doesn’t make your posture any better.

And he decided to do this because he once read that the first president of India could do this. And since Rajendra Prasad was an outstanding person, the director connected these two phenomena - his ability to write with both hands and talents.

Now the school raises future geniuses from the first grade. By the way, if you really train such writing from the first school year, then by middle school you will be able to write quickly with both hands without any problems. The students proved this in practice.

It turns out really not bad, with the second hand too

It turns out that this is not an innate talent?

The second level of education of genius - children are forced to write a word in Hindi with one hand, and with the other hand simultaneously translate the same word into another language. For example, English.

What exactly this develops is difficult to say. But new synapses are definitely being developed in the brain, which is still beneficial.

Is it really that useful? Is this a sign of intelligence?

The director with his students, he himself conducts lessons on “dual writing”

Scientists really doubt this. Typically, right-handers have a more developed left hemisphere of the brain, and this is the case for the vast majority of people on the planet.

Ambidexters have equal development of their hemispheres. And along with this, a tendency to mental disorders, an inability to concentrate. And the most common problem is difficulties with mathematics.

In some early development schools we also teach this way.

In logic, which prevails among right-handers, they are inferior to the rest. But this world belongs to right-handed people, so they are judged on the scale of success in logic and mathematics.

That’s why ambidextrous people usually do worse on IQ tests than right-handed people. Because this is a test of logic and connection building. Although it is not very fair to evaluate a fish by how well it climbs trees.

But there is another indicator:

Do you think it’s convenient to study this way - with a board on your lap?

Although the Vindi Vindi school has been operating for many years since 1999, no special geniuses have emerged from there yet. But, probably, the memories of the “write with both hands” drill are still the most colorful among adult graduates.
