See below who managed to outdo themselves this year and impress the Harper’s Bazaar editorial team, which is attentive to art and sports.

Harper's Bazaar magazine announced 11 winners of the "Woman of the Year" award, who deserved awards for achievements in various fields of activity: from a career in cinema to sports. One of the biggest impressions on the editors was made by Emilia Clarke, who, despite serious health problems, desperately devotes herself to her career as an actress, and is also actively involved in charity work. But this is just one of the winners: the editors celebrate the merits of the writer who took on the reinterpretation of Shakespeare, the director who became one of the few female Oscar winners, and other outstanding ladies who are making incredible breakthroughs in their field.

Actress: Emilia Clarke

Emilia survived a cerebral hemorrhage, but her main fear was not death, but the loss of her job. Thanks to her courage and dedication, after her recovery she took on a variety of projects, not only in the field of film (funding medicine and writing a comic book).

Activist: Patsy Stevenson

Patsy is a physics student turned activist and women's rights advocate.

Artist: Marina Abramovic

Marina Abramović is hosting a solo exhibition at the Royal Academy this year, and according to Harper's Bazaar, she is the art world's leading provocateur and is constantly reinventing herself.

Writer: Maggie O'Farrell

She has long captivated readers with her vibrant world of prose, but her new novel Hamnet has become a bona fide bestseller and has soon been adapted into a film due out in 2025. Thus Maggie rose to new heights of literary fame.

Athlete: Alessia Russo

Arsenal striker Alessia Russo led the England women's football team to the World Cup final. And the athlete does not plan to stop there.

Designer: Tory Burch

Over the past 20 years, she has revolutionized the world of luxury fashion by inspiring women's empowerment.

Editor's Choice: Camille Cotten

The actress's roles are varied, and she brings her own charisma and consistent dedication to her craft to each of them. Among Camille’s most famous works are roles in the series “Ten Percent” (2015-2020) and the recent films “The Still Water” (2021) and “The House of Gucci” (2021).

Director: Emirald Fennell

In 2021, Emirald won an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for Promising Young Woman (2020). As a director, she excels at combining humor with horror - and her latest gripping drama, Saltburn, is no exception.

Philanthropist: Gugu Mbatha-Raw

The actress, known for the TV series “Loki” (2021-...), successfully combines her career with protecting the rights of displaced people, and will be an ambassador for the UNHCR.

Musician: Janelle Monae

Janelle is a versatile and talented artist who has entered a new era of self-discovery. In addition to success in the musical field, she starred in interesting film projects (for example, “Knives Out: The Glass Onion”, 2022).

Breakthrough: Jenna Ortega

Her starring role in the TV series Wednesday (2022-..) brought the actress a huge fan base around the world and accelerated her success. Now she is determined to take charge of her future.
