Recently, a resident of the Canadian province of Ontario named Henry D'Angela announced that he had grown a record-breaking zucchini. How long is this zucchini? Not a meter, not one and a half meters, but two and a half meters.





“I didn't set out to grow the longest specimen,” D'Angela says of his 8-foot-4.79-inch (2.56 m) beast. “It just so happened that it ended up in a new area where I had never grown anything before.” The soil turned out to be very good for him. It is amazing".



Not only did D'Angela not set out to grow a squash of incredible length, but he's not even sure how he did it. “Probably a lot of water,” he told ThoroldToday. “And I put manure at the base.” Or he was secretly communicating with the devil. Let's not discount this option either.

So for now, D'Angela keeps the vegetable in her garage and is waiting for representatives from the Guinness Book of Records to stop by to confirm such a powerful achievement.



“When the farmer's market opens in Thorold next year, I'll have to bring it as a new item,” he says. “Then Thorold will be known as the place that sells the biggest zucchini in the world.” Finally, the city will have something to brag about.
