A home where solitude feels delightful and beautiful (8 photos + 1 video)
In an attempt to escape from the world or themselves and take a break from civilization, people climb mountains, hide in forests and go underwater. If possible, you can even fly into space. Or breathe freedom into this house, which can claim the status of the loneliest home in the world.
After all, it is not even noticeable at first glance in the thickness of the Italian mountain range - the Dolomites at an altitude of 2750 meters. How was it even possible to build something similar to a residential building here?
There is no 100% true hypothesis for its appearance. Locals tell different versions, the most plausible of which is related to the events of the First World War.
Clashes between the Italian and Austro-Hungarian armies in the Alps took place precisely in those areas where popular tourist routes are now located.
The Italians specially arranged the most advantageous position from a strategic point of view in order to monitor the movements of the enemy. This is how an observation post appeared, which was named in honor of the commander Carlo Buffa di Perrero.
The ideal place for construction was a natural cave in the rock. Inside, the soldiers rested and stored weapons, food and medicine.
The design is extremely laconic: two doors, windows, a wooden roof, a narrow deck in front of the house. But even this minimum can only be surprising, because to drag materials to such a height, and even unnoticed, was quite a quest.
But the soldiers managed. And now the loneliest house has turned into a tourist attraction and a place of pilgrimage for tourists. But not everyone, but only the most prepared extreme sports enthusiasts. Indeed, in addition to a solid climb, those who want to appreciate the beauty of loneliness will have to cross a rather long and shaky bridge.
But even taking into account the difficulties of those who like to feel and enjoy high mountain loneliness, it does not become less.
