A crowd of local residents robbed a farm with medicinal herbs
On November 1, a farm located near the city of Zhoukou (Henan Province, China) and specializing in the cultivation of rare herbs Bai Zhu (Atractylodes, large-headed), which have a unique chemical composition used for medicinal purposes, was robbed by a crowd.
More than twenty relatives of the farmer stood up to protect the gold harvest worth nearly 1.5 million yuan, but after the first batch was collected, hundreds of local residents broke into the farm and caused damage to the entrepreneur in the amount of 200 thousand yuan.
Despite the efforts of the police, marauding locals plundered the plantation. Law enforcement officials called on everyone involved in the farm robbery to return all the stolen vegetation.
According to media reports, the farmer experienced a malfunction in his equipment while harvesting two-thirds of Bai Zhu's second harvest. Residents of neighboring villages thought that the second harvest had already been harvested and went out into the fields to collect the remaining herbs, since the farm owner allows them to take the remaining vegetation after the main harvest.
