Lightning-shocking accident caught on video in Hong Kong

In the early morning hours of October 22, the moment a taxi crashed on Clear Water Bay Road, in Hong Kong's Sai Kung District, was captured on two dash cams belonging to bystanders to the dramatic incident.

A 78-year-old taxi worker lost control of the car, causing it to fly over the barrier, crash into a tree and catch fire.

According to information received from local media, a 34-year-old taxi passenger surnamed Xiao was sent to the hospital with numerous bruises and abrasions. The elderly person responsible for the accident, surnamed Lin, was thrown out of the car and was rescued by passers-by, who was taken to a nearby hospital with a broken arm.

While other official sources reported that the 78-year-old taxi driver was pulled from the burning car and taken to hospital, where he later died.
