Even if you haven’t watched this series, you’ve probably seen a lot of memes and pictures about an elderly chemistry teacher in a protective suit, who from a timid henpecked man turned into a tycoon of a criminal business on the border with Mexico. "Breaking Bad" is deservedly in the top of the best drama series.





No joke, Bryan Cranston is one of the most talented actors of our time today. Often actors are good at either drama or comedy, but Cranston is good at both. But making an audience laugh is much more difficult than making them cry. Other than that, Brian seems like a good guy based on his actions. But how did it happen that such a person almost ended up behind bars, and on such a serious charge?



It all happened back in the 70s, when Cranston was just starting his acting career and was not rich and young.

In 1976, 20-year-old Cranston and his brother rode around America on bikes, stopping here and there, trying to get any easy job so that they would have time to participate in various theatrical and semi-amateur productions.





And so, one day he settled in Florida, in the town of Daytona Beach. Here he took part in the production “Oh, Dad, poor Dad, Mom hung you in the closet, and I’m so sad.” In order to somehow survive, he and his brother began working as waiters at the Hawaiian Inn restaurant. The place was run by chef Peter Wong and he was simply a disgusting person. As Cranston himself said, “he hated everyone, and everyone hated him.” Absolutely all of his subordinates joked many times about killing their boss, and Brian, of course, too. If only, he said, we could cut this bastard into pieces and fry him on the grill. We were joking.



Peter Wong was found in the trunk of his car with a broken head. They tried to hide his body very clumsily. The police immediately went to the restaurant to interview the dead man's subordinates. The police, of course, asked if anyone had talked about killing the boss and the team burst into nervous laughter: yes, everyone who knew Wong wanted to kill him. But the brother waiters were especially passionate about this topic.

And it just so happened that the Cranstons, shortly before the discovery of the body and the start of the investigation, decided that they had already received everything they could from the city, packed up their things and drove away from Daytona Beach to look for a better life. Well, the cops don’t need much - they put two and two together and decided that this is the killer: the future star of the series “Breaking Bad” - Bryan Cranston.

The unsuspecting brothers were immediately put on the wanted list and were quickly stopped by the traffic police. But, fortunately, the police did not focus on them and the real killer was soon caught. Everything was much simpler.

Peter Wong often carried large sums of money with him, clearly having some illegal ways of earning money on the side, and this was no secret to anyone. His faithful assistant always traveled with him, accompanying him in all financial matters.

Well, she decided to finish off Wong for the sake of money, hiring huge men to beat him to death with bats and take away the money. The culprit was a repeat offender who attacked Peter, in the company of two similar thugs.

The entire investigation lasted no longer than two weeks and, fortunately for Cranston, all charges against him were dropped fairly quickly.
