Tupac was born in New York on June 16, 1971. In his youth he studied poetry, ballet, acting and music, and even performed Shakespeare. In the late 1980s, Shakur became interested in rap, and already in 1989 performed under the pseudonym MC New York. In 1991, the rapper released his debut album 2Pacalypse Now and debuted as an actor in the film "Alone Trouble" and then played the lead role in the crime thriller "Authority" (1992). Even then he had connections in Hollywood.



Tupac has repeatedly had problems with the law. For Throughout his career, he more than once participated in various shootouts, but the most a high-profile crime occurred in November 1993, when he was accused of rape. The rapper denied all charges, but the court sided with him victims and sentenced Shakur to 4.5 years in prison conclusions. Of these, he served less than a year in prison, but during this time I managed a lot: for example, I began to read the works of Niccolo Machiavelli and Chinese thinker Sun Tzu, who changed his worldview. Jim Carrey contacted the rapper several times while he was in prison, and after that they became close friends. It is known that during his imprisonment, Kerry wrote him funny letters of encouragement, which were very helpful and lifted his spirits in difficult times time. The actor was asked what exactly he wrote to Shakur - but he refused to share the contents of the letters, which proves their mutual respect. The rapper himself admired Kerry's acting talent and mentioned that he is his favorite actor.



"I spent the first eight months in prison in complete alone. I was locked up for 23 hours a day, just reading and writing. Wrote a script for a future film, called it “Live to tell” (“Live, to tell") - semi-autobiographical, half about me, half fiction. For the first time in my life I wrote a script. I already wrote for the film "Poetic Justice", and entire scenes for "Above the Ring" and "Authority", but this time for the first time I wrote a complete script with characters," said Shakur.



In the fall of 1996, Shakur died. He got a few drive-by gunshot wounds in Las Vegas. A few days later he died in hospital from his wounds, despite doctors' attempts to bring him back to life.
