68-year-old woman has completed nearly 500 paragliding flights with her dogs (11 photos + 1 video)
68-year-old Corinne Denen from Switzerland has two main passions. in life - paragliding and her dogs Phoebe and Megabyte. In 15 years grandmother of four grandchildren has completed more than 500 aerial adventures with with your four-legged friends.
"I started on small slopes with Megabyte, for the first time We only flew a meter,” says Corinne. - Then we rose from her higher and higher. In the end, we began to fly from heights about 900 meters. When people find out that I fly with a dog, what is their reaction? it comes down to the fact that it is not fair to the animal. I want explain that my dog likes to fly with me."
A resident of Switzerland first took up hang gliding in 1981 But due to the difficulty of this sport, she switched to paraglider, and now has more than 1,300 flights under her belt.
The adventurer even flew from France to Morocco on a microlight - a hang glider with a gasoline engine.
When Megabyte became too old to fly, the woman took her boxer Phoebe along for the ride.
“When I first took Phoebe on a flight, she was six months old. The dog was strapped to my front, she panicked and tried climb on me. But she soon realized that everything was fine with her and she didn’t falls,” Denen shares. - And now, on her flight number 230, she is already not afraid."
Now the mother of three children is retired, so she devotes most of her time to flying, mountaineering, and skiing.
To date, Corinne has climbed 200 mountain peaks and covered a total of about 205,000 vertical meters.
According to her, paragliders rarely take with them on a flight large dogs, and her boxer weighs 30 kg. So is it any wonder that Does Phoebe also go mountain climbing?
