A Jack Russell dog named Phoebe died in 2013, but only today she gained incredible popularity, becoming a real Internet star. This became possible thanks to her owner Mitch Byers from Portland, USA, who posts photos of his dog on Instagram.

How did the dog manage to survive like this? It's simple, in fact, this is a stuffed animal that Mitch now always takes with him.

Mitch reportedly created an Instagram page called "My dead dog and me."

The 26-year-old rubber factory manager posts photos of Phoebe online, where they immediately fly across social media like hotcakes.

Mitch always takes Phoebe with him, so he was even forced to place this note under the window of his car

"Don't worry, the dog is already dead. It's stuffed. Please don't break my window."

Photos of the dead dog have left users with mixed feelings, ranging from "this is wrong" to "this is amazing."

4 years ago, Phoebe's owner had to send the dog's body to Colorado (another state) because local taxidermists refused to stuff the pet.

Mitch shared his reaction the first time he walked home and saw a stuffed Phoebe sitting on the table.

“I instantly burst out laughing. I knew it was definitely my mom who did it because it looked so much like her,” Mitch said.

“But as soon as my sister saw her, she immediately started tearing her eyes away, and I think that’s a better reaction than laughing,” he added.

"Everyone loved it. I think I even inspired a few people to do the same with their animals after they died," Mitch finished.
