The bride married her father-in-law after the groom ran away (2 photos + 1 video)

The happiest day in the life of one Indonesian woman turned into nightmare. The girl, identified only as SA by Indonesian media, is from village of Jikotamo, South Halmahera, and was in a long-term relationship with groom However, on August 29, the day of the celebration, the man escaped. Preparations for the wedding cost families a tidy sum, and the dowry was already prepared, so the fugitive's father intervened and married girl.





"The guests had already arrived at the wedding. Then the groom's family informed us that their son is missing and they can’t find him,” he told reporters Wisto's brother Ahmad, confirming that the fugitive's father married SA.

The bride's parents, of course, were offended by the behavior failed son-in-law, but the 25 million rupees spent on the wedding worried them no less. There could be no cancellation of the wedding and speeches, so the groom’s father came to the rescue.



In Indonesia itself, the reaction to the wedding was mixed: some laughed, others felt sorry for the bride.
