India is preparing to launch a research ship to the Sun (4 photos + 1 video)
We start this morning with space news.
In August, India became the first country in the world to succeed land your research probe on the south pole of the moon. But on this they don't intend to stop. Literally today should take place launch of a unique space mission to study our Sun.
The research ship "Aditya-L1" on September 2 should launch from the spaceport on the Indian island of Sriharikota.
"Aditya-L1" is not just a ship, but a whole space observatory, which will have to study the solar wind flows, influence of magnetic storms on Earth, explore the outer layers of our star and fix flashes on it. It is planned that every day there will be send more than 1,400 photos.
This is how the mission was prepared.
The most basic goal is to collect data on the temperature of the Sun and his analysis. NASA says the temperature is 1.1 million degrees Celsius. However, about the temperature of the lunar surface, they they also said all sorts of things, but it turned out that the data was completely incorrect.
The space observatory has to overcome 1.5 million kilometers in about four months. The ship must stop at the so-called Lagrange point, where the gravitational forces of the Earth and stars neutralize each other and create balance.
In total, in the entire history of the study of the Sun, it was sent 22 space missions from America, Germany, European space agency.
