In Nevada, rangers severely detained environmental activists who blocked the road

In America, European action with road closures does not seem to catch on.

Rangers from the state of Nevada showed a master class on counteracting various kinds of activists. Yesterday afternoon, a group of about ten environmentalists decided on their own to block the road leading to the Burning Man festival (Black Rock City), which takes place annually in the desert in Northern Nevada.

There was a huge traffic jam on the road from those who wanted to be in time for the opening of the festival. People did not tolerate eco-activists for a long time and called the right people. And the rangers who rushed to the challenge rather aggressively dispersed the illegal picket. They did not even spare their own pickup trucks, which rammed a trailer blocking the road. And all the activists, at the point of service weapons, were put face down on the asphalt and handcuffed.

It is reported that the activists who blocked the road demanded that the Burning Man festival be banned from using private jets and single-use plastic utensils.

All eco-activists were arrested. What punishment they face is unknown. It is noteworthy that, when asked by journalists why they treated the environmentalists so harshly, one of the rangers replied that an unknown person had allowed the number 911 and demanded that the activists be removed, otherwise he would shoot them.
