Paris to ban rental of electric scooters from September 1 (3 photos)

The city will be the first in Europe to implement the ban. 
The Paris City Hall refused to renew contracts with private operators (Lime, Tier, Dott) and ordered them to remove equipment from city streets. 
This decision was supported by 89% of the participants of the city referendum. Its organizer, the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, previously herself opposed electric scooters, noting that abandoning them would reduce "inconvenience" on the roads
