LPG gas station explosion in Romania caught on video
The footage is worse than in Hollywood blockbusters.
Two strong explosions thundered at a gas station with liquefied gas in the Romanian Crevedia near Bucharest. At about 8 pm at a local gas station, one of the 6 gas tanks detonated for reasons that have not yet been clarified and a huge fire started. They called firefighters, rescuers, the police arrived.
While trying to cope with the fire, the second tank exploded. The volume of each was 10,000 liters. As a result of the incident, one person died and about 46 were injured, including 26 firefighters and one policeman. Some of them received severe burns over 80% of the body surface.
According to local media, the owner of the gas station was the mayor's son, and he did not have a permit for retail trade.
